EDMUNDS COUNTY HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT

Edmunds County invites applications for the role of Highway Superintendent. This key leadership position is responsible for establishing and implementing a comprehensive and effective strategic vision for the Edmunds County Highway Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is eager to make a lasting impact on the development and success of Edmunds County's transportation system. The ideal candidate will provide forward-thinking leadership to ensure the department's goals align with the long-term transportation needs and priorities of our community, fostering a safe, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure for Edmunds County. Our talented team of 12 dedicated professionals in the administrative, and maintenance divisions operate within an annual budget of approximately $5.5 million to consistently deliver high-quality results.

The Highway Department enjoys a GREAT schedule working full-time from Monday to Thursday, allowing for a three-day weekend all year long! This position has a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, generous paid time off program, extended sick leave, retirement plan through the South Dakota Retirement System, health, dental, vision, and life insurance.

The Highway Superintendent is an appointed position reporting to the Edmunds County Commissioners.
